SunSpots- First Draft (Incomplete)

This is my first draft without any band performance elements, or correct shoes.

This draft was shown to an audience for feedback a day later. I will try and keep regular updates on any changes and audience feedback from here on.

  1. We covered a lot of ground today, key points included:
    DON’T cut the track
Audience: a female figure would boost female appeal (U+G: identification) and add useful variety to the video overall – your female classmates strongly agreed on that point.
HA, ELS of Trent are a useful addition, as are cutaway shots.
The variety from band performance is crucial, and this presents your best opportunity of showcasing work on mise-en-scene if you manage a more challenging shoot location than the music room
Think carefully about the audio and how you will vary editing at times to reflect it: ‘the drop’ and maybe look for an audio motif to match with an editing/visual motif. We also looked at examples like the vocal echo where various visual FX can be used
Look carefully at the small details: camera shake and focus shift ARE highly visible and will be noted by me!
So long as you get the extra material, this has clear potential. The footage you’re focussed on so far will have more impact if we end seeing less of it.

  2. More detail/context needed. Make sure audience feedback is specifically addressed - better in separate posts, with your response + follow on with any specific IDEA UPDATE2 etc plus PRODUCTION SCHEDULE UPDATE2 etc MISE-EN-SCENE UPDATE........

  3. That all helps denote THE JOURNEY.
